Foxtail Palm

Foxtail Palms typically reach heights of 6–10 metres in residential landscapes, with a crown spread of 3–5 metres. Their fronds are finely divided and densely packed, creating a fluffy, foxtail-like appearance that gives the palm its name. The single, smooth grey trunk is self-cleaning, meaning old fronds drop off naturally, leaving a neat, uniform look. This palm grows quickly and establishes easily, making it ideal for gardeners and landscapers looking to create fast vertical interest and a lush tropical feel.

Best suited to full sun, the Foxtail Palm thrives in well-drained sandy or loamy soils. It requires regular watering during the first 6–12 months after planting but becomes drought-tolerant once established.
